minister to a question without notice asked on 20 March 2024.
(1) Has the
Marlamanu on-country diversionary facility been completed?
(2) If no to (1),
when will it be completed?
(3) What will be
the capacity of the facility once completed?
(4) Will the
facility be operational for the entire calendar year; and, if not, for how
long?

of the question. The following answer has been provided by the Minister for
Regional Development.
(1) No.
(2) The
completion date will depend on several factors, including the commencement and
duration of the wet season, the builder's capacity and other
contingencies.
(3) The contracted capacity is at least 12
participants at any one time, with a total commitment of 48 participants over the pilot period.
(4) No. The
program will operate during the dry season, roughly from March–April to
November–December each year, depending on environmental conditions.
