(1)–(2) The
transcultural mental health program will be located at Bentley Health Service
and will be integrated with the multidisciplinary community mental health
service. As a result, it will provide services to an increased number of
patients and care closer to home for the majority of patients. The Department
of Health has identified the clinical nurse specialist position—one
full-time equivalent—as surplus to requirements, as the program will be
integrated into the case management system of the assessment and treatment
teams and the community treatment teams. The cost saving is $139 213.00,
including on-costs.
(3) Nil.
(4) The
Department of Health budget for the program has not been allocated for 2015–16.
For previous years —
2012–13 Budget: $684 716 Actual:
$546 144
2013–14 Budget: $444 991 Actual:
$495 966
2014–15 Budget: $515 902 Projection:
$556 400
(5) It is a
statewide service provided via telehealth to non-metropolitan clients. To date,
there have been no services to non-metropolitan clients in 2015.
