(3) As at 31 May 2009 there were 164 children in care for more than 20 working days with no planning recorded. As at 31 May 2008 there were 345 children in care for more than 20 working days with no planning recorded, and as at 31 May 2007 there were 323 children.
(4) As at 31 May 2009 there were 228 investigations open for more than 30 days but less than 90 days. As at 31 May 2008 there were 382 investigations open for more than 30 days but less than 90 days and as at 31 May 2007 there were 327.
(5) As at 31 May 2009 there were 213 investigations open for more than 90 days. As at 31 May 2008 there were 597 investigations open for more than 90 days, and as at 31 May 2007 there were 1093 investigations open for more than 90 days.
(6) As at 31 May 2009 there were 632 open investigations. As at 31 May 2008 there were 1230 open investigations and as at 31 May 2007 there were 1657 open investigations.
(7) The term "Unallocated" has been replaced by "Monitored" to more accurately reflect practice. When a case is placed on the "Monitored List" a senior officer is nominated as the Liaison Officer who has responsibility to respond to any risk issues that emerge during this period. This means that cases are not unattended, as the previous terminology suggested.
The number of monitored cases as at 4 June 2009 was 512 compared to 1440 as at 6 June 2008.
