With regard to the domestic violence court project at Joondalup - (1) Has the domestic violence unit been reduced in numbers? (2) If yes to (1), what is this change? On behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Police and Emergency Services I thank the member for some notice of the question. The Police Service advises as follows - (1) Yes. (2) From one sergeant and five investigating officers to one sergeant and three investigating officers. (3) The criteria have not changed in relation to police assessment of domestic violence cases.  Police subdistricts now conduct investigations into those cases not handled by the domestic violence unit. (4) There has been no reduction in the provision of service to victims of domestic violence.
