Based on a total of 108 sentenced young people who were discharged during the reporting period of 1 July 2019 to 31 March 2020, 74% returned to custody. Of the 108, 48% returned to youth detention and 30% returned to prison as adults. Please note the 4% difference in the percentages relate to individuals who returned to both youth detention and prison as adults.
