(a) As the estimated total value for the copy writing for this project was not expected to exceed $20,000 Tourism Western Australia sought quotes in writing from three (3) contractors and engaged two (2) contractors for the copywriting work as per State Supply Commission guidelines. The two contractors were chosen on the basis of value for money, i.e. they were competitively priced and the examples provided by them of their past work suited the style required for the project.
(b) The work was awarded to two independent contractors, Emma Leask and Sian Briggs.
(c) Sian Briggs has advised that to the best of her knowledge she does not do any work for the Western Australian Government, or any Western Australian Government department, Western Australian Government-owned corporation, ministerial office or Member of Parliament apart from Tourism Western Australia. Emma Leask could not be contacted.
(d) Not applicable
(e) Emma Leask - total cost $3,981.82. Sian Briggs - $7,136 as a casual employee and $8,454.54 exclusive GST as a contractor.
Total cost of copy writing $19,572.36 exclusive GST.
