(1) Of the 320 projects listed how many actually commenced under the Gallop Government?
(2) What is the total cost of those projects which have been funded by the Gallop Government?
(3) Can the Premier identify how many and the value of these projects which have been funded out of the election promise to spend at least $10 million over four years on crime prevention projects?
(4) How many projects were funded from within existing budgets and how many were funded from new moneys?
(5) What is the total cost of projects funded from within existing budgets?

In reference to the 2001/02, now redundant, Project Register that was previously located on the Office of Crime Prevention website: (1) 82 projects commenced under the Gallop Government. (2) $1,005,745 worth of projects was funded from the Community Policing Fund, State Crime Prevention Strategy Fund, Community Security Program and the SAFER W.A. Fund. (3) $1,005,745 of funding for 74 approved projects. (4) None of the projects in the 2001-2002 Project Register were funded with new moneys. (5) The Office of Crime Prevention has no information of the total cost however 8 projects listed on the Project Register were provided within existing agency budgets. The projects comprised: · Responsible Liquor Service Courses South - West District WAPS project sponsor; · Bunbury Burglary Team – South West District WAPS project sponsor; · Burglary – What Now? pamphlets – South West District WAPS project sponsor; · Drive Off Forms for reporting of vehicles that drive off without paying for petrol at service stations – South West District WAPS project sponsor; · Domestic Violence Follow-up report – South West District WAPS project sponsor; · Attendance Interagency Collaboration to improve school attendance rates – Metropolitan area WAPS, Dept of Education and Training, Dept of Justice, and Dept for Community Development project sponsors, cost of interagency resources which were human and material and provided within the core business of these agencies; · Seniors’ Register to provide crime prevention information – West Metropolitan WAPS project sponsor; and · Homeless Helpline – statewide Dept of Housing & Works project sponsor.
