I refer to action items 2 and 19 of the 'First Action Plan 2020 – 2022' that is part of the Family and Domestic Violence Strategy , and I ask: (a) how is the Department tracking and responding to demand variances that relate to victims and perpetrators of family and domestic violence, as a consequence of COVID-19; and (b) when is the ‘Code of Practice for the response and investigation of family violence reports, with a specific focus of reports involving Aboriginal victims’ expected to be completed?

a)  The Department of Communities (Communities) is collecting data to measure and track the social impact of COVID-19. This includes a range of indicators to track changes in demand, relating to family and domestic violence.
This information informs Communities of any additional COVID-19 related responses to family and domestic violence. The WA Government’s COVID-19 recovery response via Communities has so far included:
b)  This part of the question should be referred to the Minister for Police as item 19 under the 'First Action Plan 2020 – 2022' is being led by the WA Police Force.
