approval was withdrawn?

reasons for withdrawal?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) The
Department of Education is aware of the situation at Weld Square Primary
School, and I am now aware of it as a result of the member's question.
(2)–(3)
The department has advised that the original approval was granted for the
replacement of a number of floor tiles due to the tiles lifting and presenting
trip hazards. A later request was received to remove tiles from a much larger area
due to concerns over the tiles containing asbestos fibres. The tiles were
subsequently inspected by the Department of Finance's Building
Management and Works and found to be in reasonable condition. Minor maintenance
has been undertaken to mitigate the trip hazard. The Department of Finance's
Building Management and Works will review the condition of the tiles at the
beginning of the 2015 school year.
(4) Not applicable.
