I refer to a road constructed between the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame which links with the Goldfields Highway constructed in September 2001 and a newspaper article titled ‘Rebels back on the road’ from the
Kalgoorlie Miner
on Tuesday, October 16 2001 -
(1) Can the Minister state the names of the mining tenement holders and tenement numbers where this road was constructed?
(2) If not, why not?
(3) Was this road constructed on or through private property?
(4) If yes, can the Minister provide details of ownership and lot numbers etc of the private property?
(5) Were all necessary approvals obtained before the construction of the road commenced?
(6) If yes, can the Minister list all the approvals that were required and the dates when they were granted?
(7) If no to (5), why not?

(1)-(7) This road is not associated with any mining tenements or mining operations. Accordingly, the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources is not aware of the road's precise route and is not in a position to comment on the underlying land tenures or the question of whether or not all necessary approvals were obtained before construction of the road commenced.
