I refer to answers given to the Estimates and Financial Operations Committee in the Legislaitve Council that the following Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) properties in: (1) DAFWA site in Forrestfield; (2) DAFWA site in Medina; and, (3) DAFWA headquarters at 3 Baron-Hay Court, Kensington, have been transferred to the Department of Lands, and I ask, for each of the three properties: (a) when was this site last valued and at what price was it valued; and (b) what contamination issues been identified for this site?

(a) As part of the sales process valuation advice is sought from the Valuer General. However, to ensure the State receives the best commercial return for the sale of land based on market demand; this information will be kept confidential as this will likely influence buying behaviour.
(b)

- a previous uncontrolled fill area of approximately  1.2 ha is contaminated.
(2)  DAFWA
Medina
- several areas of likely contamination have been  identified from previous piggery, pesticides and fuel storage uses.
(3)  DAFWA
Kensington
- previous uses over portions of the site suggest  contamination - further investigation required.
