and the Minister’s response to a grievance on 22 March 2018 that Stage 2
environmental approvals will be completed in the first quarter of 2019, and ask: (a) Will Stage 2
environmental approvals be complete in the first quarter of 2019; (b) If no to (a), why not and when will Stage 2 environmental approvals be complete; (c) On
what date did work to gain Stage 2 environmental approvals commence; and (d) Which agency is responsible for the environmental approvals?

(a)-(b) Main Roads is continuing to progress its environmental assessment of the Bussell Highway.
(c) Site environmental surveys have been underway since 2015.
(d) Main Roads is responsible for obtaining the environmental approvals from the Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Energy and the Western Australian Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.
