1219. Hon ADELE FARINA to the Attorney General:
(1) Will the
Attorney General table the evidence he has relied on in support of his
proposition that increasing the minimum imprisonment sentence allowable under
the Sentencing Act from three months to six months has resulted in ''sentence
creep''?
(2) Will the
Attorney General table the evidence in support of his proposition that the 2004
amendment has resulted in jailing the same number of people but for longer?
