HOSPITALS, INSTRUCTIONS TO SUSPEND EXPENDITURE
Since assuming the health portfolio, has the minister or his department issued instructions to any hospitals in Western Australia to - (a) suspend any tendering or capital works projects; (b) suspend any equipment purchases; or (c) suspend any special project or equipment purchases that were being funded with money from the sale of AlintaGas? Mr KUCERA

That is a budgetary issue and I would have to take the question on notice. I would hate to be accused of misleading the House. The question relates to the same sorts of matters we talked about yesterday in terms of commitments within this House. Mr Barnett: Accountability again! Mr KUCERA: Yes, and accountability. I learnt a very good lesson yesterday, which was graciously pointed out to me outside this House by the member for Darling Range. Maybe that is why the member is still in this House and many of his colleagues are not - he listens to his constituents and ensures they are heard in this House. I heard the comment of the Leader of the Opposition and, unlike him, I do not blame my staff for things. The buck ends here. I take full responsibility - Mr Barnett: You did not say that yesterday. Mr KUCERA: I take full responsibility for my actions in the House. As the Premier said, the Leader of the Opposition should front up and take responsibility for his actions. The buck ends with me.
