I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(3) I
thank the honourable member for highlighting the commitment of the McGowan
government to build new police stations that
will support the continued growth in police numbers into the future. The
McGowan government is proud to have funded construction of the Armadale
courthouse and police complex, the Fremantle police complex and Forrestfield
Police Station, and refurbishments to an additional 14 police stations right across the state under its recovery
plan. In addition to these projects, the McGowan government has funded
construction for a new police station in Baldivis. I am pleased to advise that
the project is underway and construction is anticipated to commence in 2023.
