(1) The $13 million is to fund only the new race track and associated facilities. Funding for re-homing of retired greyhounds under the Greyhound-As-Pets program is provided by both Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) and the Western Australian Greyhound Racing Association (WAGRA).
Since 2005, RWWA has made annual contributions to the program totalling $934,971 which has been matched by WAGRA.
