(1) Total payment made by the Western Australian State Government to the private operator of the Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) was $315.8 million.
(2) There is no hospital in Western Australia that can be directly compared with JHC, therefore an actual cost cannot be provided. The price paid to the private operator of JHC under a contractual arrangement is benchmarked against a number of selected hospitals in Western Australia. The cost of providing public health services at JHC had the facility been operated by the Department of Health can therefore be expected to be similar to the payment to the private operator.
