(a) The Department of Treasury expects to deliver its recommendations to the Treasurer by October 2018.
(b) Yes. Pending approval from the Treasurer, the Department of Treasury intends to release the final decision paper for the Review.
(c) The Economic Policy Directorate of the Department of Treasury.
(d) In July 2017, an Issues Paper was released to facilitate discussion regarding potential improvements to the WA Rail Access Regime. Seventeen submissions were received in response to this. The Department of Treasury is currently analysing these responses and will be releasing a draft decision paper for further comment on more specific reform proposals. It is anticipated that this will be provided to the Treasurer in July 2018 for approval for public release. Following this consultation period final recommendations will be provided to the Treasurer. The Department of Treasury has met with a number of stakeholders since the submissions period closed, and will continue to do so as it carries out this review.
