Minister for Environment:
I refer to the
development of the strategic assessment of the Perth and Peel regions.
(1) Are the
principles of the SAPPR being applied by either of the minister's
environment agencies in the course of assessing development proposals?
(2) If yes to
(1), how?
(3) If no to (1),
can the minister table the SAPPR?

some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided on behalf
of the Minister for Environment.
(1)–(3) Assessments
are conducted with consideration for the principles and objectives of the
relevant legislation. Consideration of the future of the SAPPR was deferred in
March 2020 to allow the state government to focus all efforts on responding to
COVID-19. A decision on the SAPPR will be made in due course.
