On behalf of the Minister for Housing, I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question.
(1) The total
cost to the Department of Housing to prepare the Tuart Brook structure plan and
associated commonwealth environmental referrals was approximately $450 000.
(2) The
preparation of the local structure plan was necessary to determine the land's
capacity for development. Only once this was established was it possible to
undertake the land development costing and feasibility with an appropriate
degree of accuracy.
