373. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the
Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the Chairman of the Pilbara Development Commission—PDC—Mr
Mike Hollett.
(1) Has the
Chairman of the PDC at any time made a declaration of any pecuniary or
conflicts of interest on any matter before the PDC in either deliberations or
minuted meetings?
(2) If yes to (1), when and on what matter?
(3) Is there a
requirement for members of regional development commission boards to make a
declaration of pecuniary interest?
(4) If yes to (3), will the minister table the declaration
made by Mr Hollett?

(1) Yes.
(2) On 10
December 2012 on all matters concerning the Water Corporation and all matters
concerning Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation.
(3) Yes. Under
the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993, board members are required to
disclose, as soon as possible, any pecuniary interest they may have in a matter
and the nature of their interest. Any disclosures are recorded in the minutes
of the Pilbara Development Commission board meeting and are carried over from
meeting to meeting in each board agenda.
(4) Yes; I table the attached document.
