ROAD SAFETY — EXPENDITURE
683. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Road Safety:
I
refer to the Road Safety Council Act 2002 and Legislative Council question
without notice 650 asked on 15 June 2023, which identified that $117 000
in funding for Injury Matters was approved by the Minister for Road Safety contrary
to advice from the Road Safety Council.
( 1) Who made the initial request seeking
funding for Injury Matters from the road trauma trust fund and on what date?
(2) Did the
minister or previous minister comply with section 6A of the act and provide a written
direction to the council requesting funding for Injury Matters?
(3) On what date did the council reject this funding request?
(4) Please table the minister's direction and the
Road Safety Council's response in relation to this funding.
