NATURE
POSITIVE PLAN — IMPLEMENTATION
320. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Did the Premier take the
time to talk to the Prime Minister, on his recent trip to Perth, about the
potential impact of the nature positive plan on Western Australia?

AnswerView source ↗

I did not speak to him about it when he was here last week
because I did not need to, because I have spoken to him and the Minister for Environment in the past. I am sure my comments are
not alone, of themselves. There was obviously the advocacy from the
Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, the Association of Mining
and Exploration Companies and other organisations. Because of that advocacy,
the government made its decisions regarding the nature positive work. They
continue to liaise with industry because of the advocacy that we provided.
