I refer to Landcorp and the "Future Hotel Site" as part of Karratha's, "The Quarter Future Development": (a) on what date did LandCorp last initiate an expression of interest or similar process for the site; (b) on what date was any expression of interest to develop a hotel last expressed; (c) is LandCorp currently working with any proponent towards a hotel development and, if so, who is the proponent; (d) if LandCorp is not currently working with a proponent, how is LandCorp actively sourcing potential proponents; and (e) has LandCorp considered alternate uses for the site other than a hotel development and, if so, what alternate uses have been considered?

(a)       The last formal process was released on 23 October 2015.
(b)       LandCorp was contacted on 29 August 2016 with an expression of interest in progressing a proposal.
(c)        No
(d)       Following termination of the most recent public process, LandCorp is in discussions with interested parties/agents; however no formal submission/offer has been received.
(e)       Yes. The most recent public release allowed proponents to submit proposals other than a hotel development, and current advertising material also reflects this position. Some uses being considered include short-stay accommodation, mixed short-stay/hotel, mixed residential/commercial and civic uses.
