Education—Principal Chaplaincy program
572. Hon Michelle Boylan to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the
Principal Chaplaincy program and support for school leadership wellbeing.
(1) Will the minister commit to extending funding
to ensure that principals in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions have equitable
access to the Principal Chaplaincy program in line with the case in other
regional areas?
(2) Has the minister considered utilising funding
from the Commonwealth–state Better and Fairer Schools Agreement to
ensure ongoing delivery of the Principal Chaplaincy program?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

provided on behalf of the Minister for Education.
(1)–(3) Ensuring school leaders are
supported across our state is critically important work of the Department of
Education. There are a range of programs and services in place to support
school principals. Future decisions relating to programs will be carefully considered
by the Minister for Education and informed by engagement with the sector.
