However, Position 5949 Manager Policy and Research, Level 7, in the Aboriginal Policy & Services Directorate is a permanent position, created in August 1996. The title was changed from Manager Policy and Planning in August 2002. The position is currently vacant as the previous occupant was recently appointed to another position. This position will be advertised soon. Position 004403 Principal Policy Officer, Level 7, in the Aboriginal Policy & Services Directorate is a temporary position created in July 2004. The position is currently occupied by an employee on a fixed term contract basis, which continues until 31 December 2006. Position 5949 has not been replaced by position 004403.
