AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF COMMERCE AND TECHNOLOGY —
COURSES
1316. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to students having their
vocational certificate qualifications disqualified after the Australian
Institute of Commerce and Technology was found to be delivering unauthorised
courses.
(1) How many
students had their qualifications disqualified and please list the schools that
had signed up with this registered training organisation to deliver the
courses?
(2) How much
funding had schools paid for those courses?
(3) Has the
Department of Education been refunded the fees from this RTO?
(4) Has the
Australian Skills Quality Authority investigated the matter; and, if yes, what
was the outcome?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I cannot get the information today. I will provide
either a response or an update on Tuesday, 22 November 2016, and by ''update''
I mean that I cannot guarantee that it is going to be available. I will make an
arrangement perhaps to provide the information to the honourable member post 22
November. Ideally, though, it will be 22 November.
