I refer to the Fitzroy Kids Health project into Foetal alcohol spectrum disorder and ask: (a) how much State Government funding is allocated for this project for the following years: (i) 2013–2014; (ii) 2014–2015; (iii) 2015–2016; and (iv) 2016–2017; (b) where is the funding coming from, is it all funded through Royalties for Regions, or is WA Country Health also contributing funding the project; (c) how much (if any) has been spent on this project to date; (d) have any full-time equivalent staff been employed to undertake this project yet, if so, how many and when did they commence employment; (e) can you list which schools are participating in the scheme; (f) will all students at those schools be screened and monitored or will participation in the project be voluntary; (g) what are the current rates of FASD among children in the Fitzroy Valley; (h) which not for profit organisations will be involved in the project; (i) when will the research project be completed; (j) will the research be publicly available; and (k) will the project be reviewed upon completion?

(a)(i-iv) The $400,000 funding allocation and scope of this project is currently being finalised.
(b) All funding is through Royalties for Regions.
(c) Nil.
(d) No.
(e) Children attending the clinic will come from all schools in the Fitzroy Valley: Bayulu, Muludja, Yakanarra, Noonkanbah, Millijiddee, Ngalapita.
(f) Only children referred by teachers or community/child health nurses will be screened and referred to the clinic intake process. Participation will be voluntary and requires parental consent.
(g) This data is not yet available. The Lililwan Project Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) prevalence study results will be reported within the next six months. Preliminary data indicates the rates may be among the highest reported worldwide.
(h) The Telethon Institute for Child Health, Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services, and Marninwarntikura Fitzroy Women's Resource Centre.
(i) Preliminary results are expected to be reported on at the end of 2015, and a comprehensive report to be provided by July 2016.
