REPOSSESSION APPLICATIONS
119. Hon SUE ELLERY to the minister representing the Minister
for Housing:
I refer to the December 2011 report by the Western Australian
Council of Social Service, ''The Rising Cost of Living in WA'',
which reported on the record level of civil property possession applications
before the Supreme Court.
(1) Is the minister
aware that there were 461 repossession applications in the September 2011
quarter, an increase of 68 per cent from same the time in 2009?
(2) Does the Department of Housing track the trend of these
applications; and, if so, how?
