I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) In its first year, the Red Bull Air Race and Festival is expected to generate an incremental visitor expenditure of $5.292 million, as well as a local spend by Red Bull of an additional $1 million, resulting in an estimated economic impact for Western Australia of $6.292 million. This estimate is based on the event attracting to this state a total of 3 295 additional visitors. These are 755 event-related visitors such as competitors, crew etc; 40 media; 500 sponsors and corporate-related visitors; and 2 000 interstate and international spectators. In addition, it is estimated that the state will receive media exposure to the value of $3.267 million in the first year.
