(b) the type of accidents and the scope of injuries at each of the accidents that occurred at this location during the following years:

(iii) 2008 to date; and
(2) In light of these accident statistics, will the Minister consider installing traffic lights at the intersection of Ardross Street and Canning Highway in Alfred Cove to improve community safety?

(1) (a) (i) Nine crashes were reported in 2006.
(ii) Seven crashes were reported in 2007.
(iii) Crash data received from the Police for the year to date is incomplete.
(b) (i) Of the 9 crashes reported, 5 involved right angle collision, 3 involved rear end collision and 1 was a side -swipe. Two of the crashes involved medical attention and the remainder were property damage. No pedestrians were involved in any of the 9 crashes.
(ii) Of the 7 crashes reported, 4 involved right angle collision, 1 involved rear end collision and 2 were right turn-through movement. Two of the crashes resulted in hospital attention and the remainder were property damage. No pedestrians were involved in any of the 7 crashes.
(iii) Refer to (a)(iii) above.
(2) (a)Crash data for the 5 year period (January 2003 - December 2007) indicates there were a total of 28 crashes at this intersection, with nearly sixty percent occurring during the last two years. In view of the apparent increase in incidences at this location Main Roads will undertake a formal safety audit of the site to ascertain if any intersection modifications are required.
