I refer to the prosecution of Marie Parker and Riley Lang, started by the RSPCA WA, which is set
down for trial in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on 30 June 2025, and I ask: (a) is the Minister aware of the prosecution; (b) what role has the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development taken in the proceedings; (c) under what specific legislation, and in which clauses, is the use of dogs in the hunting of feral pigs covered; (d) what is the Government's official position on the use of dogs in the hunting of feral pigs; (e) in reference to (d), where is that position stated; (f) what is the Department of Primary Industries' official position on the use of dogs in the hunting of feral pigs; (g) in reference to (f), where is that position stated; (h) how prevalent is the use of dogs in the hunting of feral pigs; (i) does the Government accredit any persons for the use of dogs to hunt feral pigs; (j) if yes to (i), under what authority; (k) if yes to (i), how many; (l) are dogs used to hunt feral pigs on land managed by the State of Western Australia; (m) if yes to (l), where; (n) has any person been charged with using dogs to hunt feral pigs apart from the current Parker-Lang case; and (o) if yes to (n), what charges were brought and when?
