This is a question to which I was unable to get an answer earlier in the week. I was asked to direct the question to the parliamentary secretary representing the Department for Community Development or the minister representing the Minister for Police and Emergency Services. I therefore direct the question to both the parliamentary secretary and the minister. Will the minister provide the Parliament with the following information - (1) The number of charges, if any, laid in relation to the 44 children under the age of 14 years who have been infected with sexually transmitted diseases since July 2004? (2) The ages of the children who have been the subject of abuse that has resulted in charges? (3) The number of charges laid against people who abused children in foster care between April 2004 and March 2005? (4) The number of charges laid against foster carers in the same period? Hon JON FORD
