REFURBISHMENT
172. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the
refurbishment of the Muja A and B plants.
(1) On what
date did each unit of Muja A and Muja B come online?
(2) For each
of the units online —
(a) can they
be operated at full capacity; and, if not, what percentage of their 60 megawatt
rating are they able to deliver;
(b) what has
been the maximum capacity actually utilised for the delivery of power into the
network at any time; and
(c) what total
amount of energy has been delivered into the network?
(3) For how
many hours has each unit been utilised to produce energy for delivery into the
network since each unit came online?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) Muja 4 on 6 February 2013; and Muja 3 on 17 March 2013.
(2) (a) Yes.
(b) 60 megawatts per unit.
(c) 149 051 megawatt hours.
(3) Unit 4 is for 2 576 hours and unit 3 is for 1 354 hours.
The total is 3 930 hours.
