Ms Rita Saffioti replied:As we have said on a
number of occasions, the then Minister for Tourism and then the new Minister
for Tourism had many discussions about a street circuit. Of course! You know
why? It was because Adelaide was doing really well and Queensland was doing
well. As a tourism opportunity, they saw a government that actually wants
tourism opportunities and is investing in all different places to create
tourism opportunities. It is a can-do government that wants to go ahead and
create new events for Western Australians.Honestly, I think I
liked the member for Cottesloe better when she was ringing up the member for
Landsdale, begging to come to a Mark McGowan conference, I really do—when
she was getting emotional: "I want to be part of that press conference".
I think that is when I liked this member better—when she was begging to
be part of every Mark McGowan conference. You stand in here begging for
relevancy like you used to beg when you wanted to be at a press conference with
Mark McGowan.The Speaker:Thank you, minister.
