A WA parliamentary question seeks clarification on the location of Munda Beach in relation to the Munda pastoral lease and requests a map showing public access roads to the coast. The Minister's response indicates uncertainty about the beach's location relative to the lease boundary and states there is no legal access to the coast.

QuestionView source ↗

(1) Is Munda Beach inside or outside the boundaries of the Munda pastoral lease?
(2) Can the Minister table a detailed map of the Munda pastoral lease and the public access roads on that lease so that the community of Port Hedland and the wider Pilbara community can work out which way they can currently travel by right to access coastal recreation and fishing?

(1) The exact position of Munda Beach (unapproved local name according to Landgate records) is not clear. The pastoral lease boundary extends to "40 metres landward of the High Water Mark" and it is assumed therefore that Munda Beach is not in the pastoral lease.
(2) [see tabled paper no] which is a detailed map of the Mundaballanga and Boodarie pastoral leases. There is no legal access to the coast.
