(1) It is incumbent upon the Regional Police Commander of each Police Region to prioritise the best use of police resources to provide optimum police response. Flexibility is a must in terms of resourcing and the Police Service is committed to providing resources at levels that are appropriate and commensurate with policing demands in the respective policing Districts throughout the State. Naturally the Regional Police Commanders continually monitor policing demands and adjust resourcing requirements accordingly. The current status within the Pilbara, Kimberley, Midwest Gascoyne, Goldfields Esperance, Great Southern, South West and Wheatbelt Districts is as follows; Pilbara 183.5 Kimberley 140.5 Midwest Gascoyne 214.6 Goldfields Esperance 209.45 Great Southern 172.7 South West 190.5 Wheatbelt 147 (2) Yes (3) All Districts referred to are not at full strength as a consequence of the ongoing vacancies through transfer.
