OUTCOMES-BASED EDUCATION - COURSES OF STUDY
I refer the minister to her response to a question that I asked during the budget estimates hearing on 14 June 2006 with regard to the Robson task force recommendation that each new course of study should be evaluated by an independent body. The minister’s response was that a rolling evaluation of the implementation of the new courses of study was being undertaken by EasyMark Pty Ltd, and that a final report would be published in November 2006. (1) Has the EasyMark report been completed? (2) If no to (1), why not; and when will it be completed? (3) If yes to (1), will the minister table the report; and, if not, why not? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

(1)-(3) I thank the member for the question. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the response that the member might be seeking, because I do not know whether the report has been completed. To the best of my recollection, the report has not crossed my desk. Had that report come into the office and crossed my desk, and had I seen that report, I could say with confidence that it had been completed. However, given that the completion date was November, I suspect that if it has not been completed, it is probably close to being completed. I will certainly follow up on the status of that report.
