I refer to the Inspector of Custodial Services’ report of
the 2017 Inspection of Melaleuca Remand and Reintegration Facility , and to
concerns raised by the Inspector regarding the lack of privacy afforded to
women in the Crisis Care Unit (CCU), and I ask: (a) have
steps now been taken to ensure the privacy of women in the CCU, particularly
women using the toilet or shower; (b) if
yes (to (a), please outline what action has been taken; and (c) if
no to (a), why not?
