(1) A Departmental Project Control Group has been formed and is in the early briefing stage.
(2) At the site of the existing Nyandi Prison for women, in Bentley and expanding into the adjacent disused Longmore detention centre site.
(3) The budget allocation is $12.2 million for initial development. A completion date is yet to be confirmed.
(4) It is estimated that at the completion of all stages, the prison will house 150 women.
