94. Mr McGOWAN to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the Kwinana Motorplex development and ask -
(a) what is the total estimated cost of this development;
(b) what is the cost of the land used in this development;
(c) who owns the land used;
(d) who will the land be vested in;
(e) what are the individual costs of -
(i) the earthworks;
(ii) the bitumen, roads and tracks in the facility;
(iii) site works;
(iv) buildings on site;
(v) electrical equipment; and
(vi) transportable buildings,
(f) will transportable buildings be used as part of this development;
(g) if so, which buildings will be transportable; and
(h) will the Government table plans for this site?

The Minister Replied:
(a) $18.5m
(b) No cost for land has been included in the overall project cost.
(c) The land comprises a number of lots as follows:
Part Lot 51 freehold land held by WA Land Authority
Kwinana Lot 63 unallocated Crown land
Kwinana Lot 432 unallocated Crown land
Part Lot 304 freehold land held by the State Planning Commission
Part Lot 49 a reserve "Trigonometrical Station"
Part Kwinana Lot 50 a reserve "Quarry Main Roads Western Australia"
(d) The land will be vested in the WA Sports Centre Trust.
(e) (i)&(iii) $2,850,000 both earth works and site works are incorporated into the one subcontract.
(ii) $2,860,000 bitumen roads, tracks.
(iv) $700,000 buildings on site.
(v) $840,000 electrical equipment.
(vi) Nil.
Note: These costs are subject to variation during the construction period.
(f) No. Permanent buildings are currently being constructed. T here maybe some temporary buildings (workshops, scrutineering) in the first few months of operation due to time constraints in constructing permanent buildings prior to opening the facility. These will be replaced with permanent buildings.

(h) Project construction plans are available.
