I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The state government recognises the need for a range of responses and strategies to people in crisis. A range of accommodation and support services is available to such people. (2) The department responds to requests for assistance from men in crisis according to need and depending on the services available. This may include assistance to access their own support networks or referral to a crisis accommodation, or other accommodation. Additionally, the Family Domestic Violence Unit is in the final stages of a project designed to explore and map existing services, resources and responses for men who are victims or perpetrators of domestic violence. The project will report on key issues identified and inform direction for the future.
