(b) The Conservation Commission employs an audit framework which is applied to the audit of management plans and also to other reserve management issues. Of the audits completed during the period, a number were not specifically associated with a particular management plan but with management issues relevant to conservation and biodiversity components throughout the state. As such, audit findings are frequently not tied to compliance with a particular management plan, but focused on broader policy issues consistent with the Conservation Commission's role of advising the Minister on the development of policies for the conservation and management of biodiversity in Western Australia.
All performance assessments are published on the Conservation Commission of Western Australia's website (www.conservation.wa.gov.au).
