I refer to the Department of Housing priority wait-list for the South Metropolitan Region and ask: (a) what is the current priority wait list as a total number of applicants as at 1 February 2014; (b) what is the current priority wait list as a total number of people, including children and dependents as at 1 February 2014; (c) what is the average time an applicant for this area has been on the priority wait list at as 1 February 2014; (d) what is the longest time an applicant has been on the priority wait list as at 1 February 2014; (e) how many applications for priority housing in this region were received in 2013, and of these, how many were approved; (f) how many people had been on the priority housing listing for 18 months or more as at 1 February 2014; and (g) how many applicants who are on the priority wait list currently live in: (i) Melville; (ii) Kardinya; (iii) Samson; (iv) Willagee; (v) Hilton; (vi) Hamilton Hill; (vii) Spearwood; (viii) Coolbellup; (ix) Bibra Lake; and (x) O’Connor?

The Department of Housing advises as at 28 February 2014:
(a)

The longest priority applicant applied in November 2009 and was granted priority assistance for single, one-bedroom accommodation due to secondary homelessness.
The applicant was offered a property in August 2013 in an apartment block, but declined as he had acquired a dog and required a property with a yard
