The Department of Minerals and Energy merged with the Department of Resources Development in May 2001 to form the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources merged with part of the Department of Industry and Technology in February 2003 to form the Department of Industry and Resources

Investment Facilitation - moved from 168 St Georges Terrace to 1 Adelaide Terrace in May 2005; to Hyatt Centre in April 2006; to Mineral House in August 2007; and to 1 Adelaide Terrace in March 2008.
