I refer to the ‘Report on Parliamentary Visit to the United States of America’ tabled in Parliament by Mark McGowan MLA. Under ‘Recommendations,’ the report states that ‘Ongoing discussions need to be undertaken with the USN to ensure that they are continually aware of our capability and interest. To that end, we should continue to keep consultants acting on our behalf in Washington in particular.’ -
(1) Have such ongoing discussions taken place?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If yes to (1), who are these discussions taking place with?
(4) If yes to (1), who in Western Australia is facilitating the discussions?
(5) Who are the consultants referred to in the report?
(6) Can the Premier outline the cost to the State of retaining these consultants?
(7) Can the Premier describe exactly the job description of these consultants?
