1. Yes. Cultural awareness training is compulsory for all new staff of the Department for Child Protection and Family Support (the Department) as part of its induction program.

Aboriginal cultural appreciation
(online training) is completed by all new staff during induction.
4. Cultural awareness training is provided by the Department's Learning and Development Centre.
5. Cultural awareness training provided to staff of the Department during 2010-2014 includes:
(a) 2010-2011

(offered four times per year); and
·
Work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
(accredited unit as part of the Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention).
