Radiation oncology—Access
113. Mr Adam Hort to
the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. In December 2024, this
government extended its radiation oncology contracts in the southern
suburbs. Why will it not do the same thing in the eastern suburbs?
Several members
interjected.

The Speaker: Members! If you keep talking when I
stand, I will start to call each and every one of you.
Ms Meredith Hammat: It requires the Commonwealth
government to be a part of the solution. We are continuing to advocate for that
outcome.
Withdrawal of remark
Ms Kim Giddens: At the conclusion of the question that
was directed to the Minister for Defence Industries, there was an interaction
in which I heard the member for Churchlands call out as an interjection,
"Watch your back." I may have misheard his comment, but it was also
picked up by my colleague here. Given the current setting and the temperature
of political debate, that comment or interjection should be either withdrawn or
clarified. Thank you, Mr Speaker.
Mr Shane Love: Further to that, the opportunity to
raise such a matter must be immediately after the so-called offence has
occurred, as I understand it, so I seek your ruling, Mr Speaker.

Mr Basil Zempilas: Should I tell you what I

want to hear what happened?
The Speaker: No, that is all I am asking. That
concludes question time.
