ROE HIGHWAY STAGE 8 — BEELIAR WETLANDS
Is the minister aware that since her government was sworn in she has received more than 1 000 letters from members of the public expressing their concern at the prospect of Roe Highway stage 8 being constructed through the environmentally sensitive Beeliar wetlands; and, if so, how has the minister been responding to these letters? Hon DONNA FARAGHER

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of the question. I have received some letters about the Roe Highway extension, not 1 000, and I have responded to them appropriately. I have indicated how the extension will be dealt with through the Environmental Protection Authority and that subsequent decisions will be made from an environmental point of view.
