AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The
Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia has had extensive contact
with the RSPCA, including meetings, telephone calls, correspondence and emails,
in relation to the implementation of animal welfare and animal welfare
regulation, with numerous discussions also including reference to the funding
provided by the government to the RSPCA through DAFWA.
(2) Discussions
have included DAFWA's concerns about the scope of activities to be
covered by the funding, performance, reporting against the grant agreement and
administrative arrangements.
(3) Concerns
have generally been addressed via clarification and/or rejection by the RSPCA
or the provision of additional information.
